PA Resources spuds Didon-9 in Tunisia

PA Resources, one of the largest oil companies currently operating in Tunisia, continues exploration activities on the Didon field in Tunisia.
After completing the drilling of the production well Didon-7 on the Didon oil field offshore, earlier this week, the company has spudded a second well on the field.
The company, which has a 100 percent working interest in the Didon field, says that the horizontal oil producer Didon-9 will be drilled into the western compartment which is expected to hold recoverable oil.
The well Didon-9 is being drilled by the jack-up rig Ensco 85 through a slot on the Didon platform. The company will first drill a vertical pilot hole for data acquisition and confirmation of reserves, and after that a horizontal production drain will be drilled.
Mr. Ulrik Jansson, President and CEO of the company, said that we have recently completed the drilling of the well Didon-7 with success and the production from the well has started.
This new well Didon-9 is expected to recover oil from the western compartment and contribute with additional reserves and production capacity, concluded Mr. Jansson.
