Superior Oil and Gas Co. completed two tests on the Mississippi Formation in its Gayla No. 1 Well located in the Eddington Field in Section 14, Township 17 North, Range 3 West, Logan County, Oklahoma. The tests were run by Millennium, Inc., an independent Oklahoma City oil and gas service company.
The tests produced 30 barrels of 38 gravity oil an hour and 400,000 cubic feet of natural gas a day, reported Dan Lloyd, CEO of Superior.
We have two other zones we intend to perforate and test, said Lloyd, but we likely will put the well on production for a short period before we turn our attention to the other two zones.
