Crude oil prices mixed on session

Crude oil prices wavered between gains and losses in New York on Friday as some investors took profits and as the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries cut its demand predictions for the year but dropped more hints that it might cut production if global stockpiles remain high.

About half an hour before the close of floor trade, West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery were 14 cents higher to $95.60 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange but April contracts for Brent crude dropped 35 cents to $94.81 per barrel on the ICE Futures Europe exchange in London.

Nymex March gasoline traded 2 cents higher at $2.50 per gallon just before the close of floor trade but April heating oil was trading even at $2.64 per gallon at last report while April natural gas dropped 8 cents to $8.71 per million British thermal units.
