Story link: Crude prices up on Nigeria warning by Elaine Frei

Crude oil prices were higher on Friday after the United States issued warnings that more attacks are expected on oil facilities in Nigeria. April contracts for Brent crude were $1.12 higher to $58.72 per barrel late in the day in London, while West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery added $1.14 to $59.14 by midday on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Even with the day’s gains, both Brent and WTI ended the week with prices slightly lower than they had been at the beginning of the week.
